Hello all. We've certainly missed welcoming you and your lovely little folk to our Toddler Group over the last few months. The good news is that we are have opened but with limited numbers hence the booking system. Currently we are FULLY BOOKED for this term but you can message us asking to be contacted if we have a cancellation
We will be unable to provide snack for the Children so we ask you to bring a piece of fruit, a small plain biscuit and your child's own water bottle. We will continue to provide Tea and Coffee for the parents and carers.
Escape is a toddler group for babies and pre-school children and their caregivers (including mums, dads, grandparents and childminders). We have members from Caversham, Mapledurham and neighbouring parts of Reading and Oxfordshire, some of whom attend regularly while others come only once or twice a term.
We will be meeting on Monday mornings only until further notice (during term time) at the 1st Reading YMCA Sea Scouts HQ on The Warren in Caversham, RG4 7TH (click here for how to find us). Sessions will run from 10:00 until 11:30 but pre-booking is essential for the foreseeable future. The number of sessions you attend is up to you.
Dates for the current term can be found on the Calendar.
At each session we provide a baby area (including feeding and changing facilities) and various types of activities for older children including art / craft, construction, messy play, pretend play etc. A snack is provided for children and adults*, followed by an active play session and ending with songs. See What Happens for more information. *please see above for interim arrangements
We charge on a per session basis to cover costs - pay only when you attend. The charge is £2.50 per session for the first child and adult. Subsequent children are 50p per child per session after their 1st birthday. We occasionally organise extra activities (e.g. a bouncy castle at a party) for which there may be an additional charge. Adults are asked to help out by volunteering for a small job when they attend a session (e.g. preparing fruit, wiping down tables, washing up).
